About Us:

Based in the village of Rackheath, just on the North Eastern outskirts of Norwich, we are a friendly amateur dramatic society with an ever-increasing membership.

We stage three productions a year - traditionally either a musical or pantomime in February, and two other productions; one in Spring/early Summer, and one in the Autumn.

We are an open-minded group, unafraid to push boundaries and test our own theatrical limits. In addition we have a thriving Youth Theatre which performs an annual Summer production plus a Christmas showcase.

New members are always welcome! We meet weekly from 20:00 - 22:00 on Thursdays at Rackheath Village Hall. As a production draws near, we usually rehearse on both Mondays and Thursdays. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or enquiries.

LIGHTING FUND

LIGHTING FUND

Rackheath Players launched a project to update their lighting equipment at the end of 2016 and, through donations and fundraising, have raised in excess of £8,000. Although it is not clear when and from where the Players obtained their lighting equipment, it is thought that some lights might have been in position since the rebuild of the hall in the 1970s. Little of the Players lighting rig has been purchased new and some is on long term loan from other societies or donated from societies that no longer exist.

The Players estimate that it will cost some £10,000 to bring the equipment up to date and are looking at fundraising opportunities, grants, donations and sponsorship.
